We were saddened to learn of Dr. Marshall's passing but happy that we had the pleasure of knowing him and working with him. I remember to this day the lecture he gave to us as junior medical students, a lecture which ultimately encouraged me to become an epileptologist. Please accept our deepest sympathy in his passing.

It feels like perfect timing to share the card Shelby and I thought described how we felt for Papa Neil/Dad (given to him Dec '17) especially since I discovered he had put the smaller insert from the card into the corner of his dresser mirror...

When you look back at your life, Dad, I hope you see how much you give to your Family and the many lives you touch. I hope you know how much you are appreciated, admired, and loved. You mean so much, Dad.
"Dad, your love has shaped my life in so many lasting and important ways. I love being your daughter and I love you, Dad."

Shelby's words of the card:

"We love you so much Papa Neil! Love Elayne & Shelby

"Papa Neil" will be dearly missed by our son David and all of our family. We loved spending time with him and "Nana Lynn" at their beloved Edisto. He will always be close in our hearts.
