Ida Mae Pinckney CHARLESTON - Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Ida Mae Pinckney, who was born on January 17, 1924, (101 years old) to the late Ethel and Lee Pinkney in Fairfax, SC, will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2025 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1234 St. Phillip St., Charleston, SC 29403. She will be laid to rest in St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery, 2728 Spruill Ave., North Charleston, SC 29405. She entered into eternal rest on February 11, 2025. Visitation will be Friday evening, February 21, at the mortuary from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Saundra Pinckney, Boiling Springs, SC; Thomas (Martha) Pinckney, Louisville, KY; Kenneth (Khadijah) Muhammad, Spartanburg, SC; Sheila (John) Hayward, Boiling Springs, SC; sister, Mamie Peeples, Fairfax, SC; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, and her sisters, Gertrude Dopson, and Carrie Hall, and brothers, Mack, Ben, Louis and James and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sympathizing friends.
