To the Hutchinson/Mack /Jefferson families, I send my sincere condolences to you on your loss. I was a former student in one of her Home Economics Classes back in the day at Wallace High School. I knew her as "Mrs. Mack." She was so amazing as an Educator, a Woman, and Mentor to so many young girls that came through her classes. She had so much knowledge, skill, and energy for teaching. She taught me how to sew, cook and poured so much into the lives of all those in her charge at Wallace, all while making it fun. And even though I knew her so, so long ago, I'll never forget her. I praise God that He blessed her with so many years!

MY GRADUATION GIFT FROM HILDA WAS A "CUSTOM-MADE WHITE DRESS WITH MATCHING BELT" (HER IMPECCABLE SKILLS OF CREATING BEAUTIFUL CLOTHES) MADE ME FEEL LIKE CINDERELLA! AS NEIGHBORS ON ADDISON STREET IT WAS ONE OF HER DESIRES FOR MANY OF US TO "GET TOGETHER TO SHARE A MEAL OR TWO" TO REKINDLE THAT "SAME NEIGHBORLY FEELING OF FAMILY". SHE'S GONE, BUT NOT FORGOTTEN!! MAY HER FAMILY CONTINUE TO BE BLESSED!! IDA MAE

To the family:
Hilda was my neighbor on Addison Street during my formative years and she also made my "graduation dress" in 1959 as her "gift" which I will always cherish! After many years away from home, she was one of the first persons I visited upon my return. One of her favorite places to eat was "RYANS" where I would see her enjoying a meal and of course, conversing with others. She lived a long and fruitful life and finally the Master called her home to get her just reward! Our lost is Heaven's gain! Ida Mae Green-Worix and family

Dear Hutchinson & Jefferson Families,
Mrs. Jefferson, our teacher at Wallace Consolidated School, was a gem. Speaking as one of her students, she believed in perfection. If you made an outfit and it wasn't fixed correctly fixed, you had to do fix it so that it was done correctly. She taught me how to sew and cook. I'll always be grateful to her in other ways. She played at our wedding in 1969. It is amazing that I picked up my note to call her and say to myself that I was going to send her a Mother's Day card this Mother's Day. I appreciate her for who she was.
Sleep on Mrs. Jefferson and take your rest. We loved you, but God loved you best.
Your girl,
