Hilda Pierce Butler CHARLESTON - Hilda Pierce Butler, 87, of Charleston, SC, wife of James Ernest Butler entered into eternal rest Friday, May 1, 2015. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, May 3, 2015 in Palmetto Community Church, 1965 Bees Ferry Road at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Sunday in the church sanctuary from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Entombment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC. Hilda was born February 28, 1928 in Whiteville, North Carolina, daughter of the late James Andrew Pierce and Carrie Soles Pierce. She was a retired Cook, and a member of Palmetto Community Church. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James Ernest Butler of Charleston, SC; son, Donald H. Jones of Loris, SC; daughter, Yvonne (Larry) Garvin of Hollywood, SC, sister, Alma Rivenbark of Wilmington, NC; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Walter Raymond Jones and a grandson Joshua Jones.
