Harold Zachariah Obituary

Harold Lewis Zachariah N. CHARLESTON - Harold Lewis Zachariah, 91, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 4, 2025. His memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, at 1:00 pm, and the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior. Burial will take place in Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date. Harold was born April 19, 1934 in Dunkirk, Ohio, son of the late Theodore Zachariah and Mary V. Pettit. Harold dedicated his life to his country, retiring as a submarine electrician from the U.S. Navy. Harold earned the rank of a Master Chief Petty Officer; an honorable title that is something to be proud of. He is survived by his sister, Betty (Bob) Wood; two daughters, Robin Aschenbrenner and Tammy Ricker; three grandchildren, Angela Ricker, Shelby Aschenbrenner and Wesley Aschenbrenner; and two great-grandchildren, Brody Davis and Drayton Ravenel. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Zachariah; siblings; and grandson, Dustin Ricker.
