Harold Draper Obituary

Harold Carman "Hal" Draper, Jr. SUMMERVILLE - Harold Carman Draper, Jr. 77, of Summerville, SC died at home on Sunday, July 23, 2017. Harold "Hal" was born March 1, 1940 the son of Harold C. Draper, Sr., and A. Evelyn Smith Draper in Trenton, New Jersey. After completing High School he completed 2 years of service in the US Army stationed in Germany. As the owner of The Draper Printing Company, his career in printing spanned 37 years. Other interests included hunting, fishing, golfing and bird carving. He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Draper, daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Wayne Melvin of Irmo, SC; daughter Patricia Draper of Columbia, SC; granddaughter Kya Faith Melvin; twin brother and sister-in-law Howard and Donna Draper of West Baldwin, Maine; sister-in-law Eleanor Draper of West Baldwin, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. His family wishes to thank Roper St. Francis Hospice and the dedicated staff who provided support and guidance. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial Mass which will be celebrated on Friday, August 4, 2017, 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC. Harold was the best brother and brother in law anyone could have. He will forever be with us. We hold him in our hearts.

We were so saddened to hear of Hal's passing. He and Barb were wonderful neighbors and friends. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Barbara and family at this time.
