So very sorry for your loss. I found your mother a delightful person when I spoke to her on the phone about 20 years ago about your father's life. I am the fellow who started the Funston Museum and after 24 years I have completed a biography of the early life of Fred Funston I. Your mother is included in the notes and acknowledgments. My deepest sympathy to you both. I hope your happy memories are a comfort to you.
