Gloria Finley Obituary

Gloria Finley CHARLESTON - Ms. Gloria Finley, 85, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 28,2022. She was born and was raised in Charleston, SC, where she then raised eleven children, five of her own and six of her dear departed sister, Betty Wellington. Ms. Finley loved her family, her church, and her community and took great pride in her work. She cared for many families beyond her own and touched all who knew her with her devotion to God, her wisdom, her fierce independence, and her heart. She was a wonderful friend and was always checking on the needs of those around her. She love to travel and visit family and see new places. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Finley, Sr., and children, Julius Finely, Jr., Shirley Finley, Timothy Wellington, and LindaMonroe. She is survived by her children, Brenda Finley, Avis Finley, Leonard Finley, Wendell Wellington, Robert Wellington, Iris Smalls, and Ira Wellington, as well as a host of adored grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and honorary children. The funeral service for Gloria Finley will be held at the Fielding Funeral Home, 122 Logan St., Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 1:00pm,. Interment to follow.
