Glenda, you and children are in my thoughts and prayers. Glenn was a true gentleman. I had the privilege of seeing him as a patient for 40+ years. He was always a pleasure to see and talk with.

I'm so sorry to learn of Glenn's passing. I met him years ago at a regional finance and budget meeting sponsored by the SCDOE and Greenville County Schools. He was a gracious host and a knowledgeable presenter. I learned a great deal as a new person in education/government finance and felt the meeting helped me get off to a good start. Glenn was always interested in sharing practical information and methods. There is no question he elevated the finance area of SC School Districts. While I know his family is proud of all his public contributions, they will miss him as husband, dad, grandfather, and brother. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your sudden and great loss.

I served on the D7 School Board during Glenn's entire time in Spartanburg and we became fast friends and worked together on budgets, new and expanded schools and so much more. We shared so much about our families. He was so proud of Glenn's accomplishments in school and work and more than anything else those grandchildren. And of course no one could compare to Amanda and Ashley but I always weaved my daughter into the conversation as she was a gymnast and cheerleader as well. And Glenda held it all together at home when Glenn had to stay over in the evening for meetings or the times we were attending statewide meetings. It was a real shock to my system to read of Glenn's passing as we stayed in touch on a regular basis after the permanent move to Charleston/IOP. My prayer for the family is that you will be comforted during this time and over the years by fond personal memories you can share with each other. God Bless You all.
