Gerren was a wonderful person to work for at Harris-Teeter. He treated the workers so good just like he did the customers. May God be with you all during this time.

We just learned of the passing of G today & our hearts are deeply sadden. He was a wonderful person always sending his famous red rice to our home to enjoy. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Deepest sympathy to the family.

Big"G" was a beautiful, kind-hearted, loving person that will dearly be missed. I met him at SCSU and everytime I saw him he always put a smile on my face. He was a true person that always act the same everytime, like what you see was what you got. Big"G" would always make your day being around him. You will truly be missed and still loved by many. My prayers goes out to the family of Gerren, it was an honor and a blessing to know him, we rarely find people in this world like Gerren, he was so special to many, so God Bless you all for sharing his life with us. I've had the honor of having "Carson" as I so passionately called him as a co-worker at New Breed Logistics. Everyday I'd look forward to seeing him because no matter what type of day I was having he'd always have a joke that would brighten my day. Gee you will be dearly missed by your New Breed Logistics family for you were nothing short of a joy and nothing less than a blessing to have endured. My prayers are with the Carson family for you raised an amazing young man. One day I'll see you once again at the pearly gates of heaven.

I was saddened to hear of the loss . The days of working at Harris Teeter were a joy with Gerren. The Carson family is in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Carson Family, you all have raised an angel and he touched so many lives far and near. Most of all he was a fun loving person that did so much for all!!! There were many times in college, if we didn't want what the Cafeteria had we could always count on Gee to feed us!!! Even in the neighborhood where he lived he had that same spirit. I never kept in touch with you the way family should, thinking that life would bring us along the same path again some day. I would ask Mel how you were and be okay just knowing that you were okay. Now you're gone and I have regrets. I just want you to know that you were someone who I admired and looked up to. I was proud to be your little cousin. I was proud when you graduated high school. I was proud when you went to college and graduated. It let me know that I could do the same. When we were younger, you always showed me love. There was no first cousin, second cousin, third cousin mess. You were my big cuz, and I was your little cuz. And I was proud of that. I still am. John 3:30 states that we must become less and HE must become greater. Right now I truly feel less. I can't understand how such a wonderful soul could be gone so soon. But I know that as HE shows us his greatness, we must be thankful for the 35 years HE blessed us with. HE has the ultimate plan, and HE didn't have to give us 35 years. We could have never known you. But HE gave us the opportunity. And then HE wanted one of HIS true Angels back. I can't be mad at that. God wanted HIS angel back. I thank God for the time that HE did give us. And I thank you for being you. I will miss you. Watch over Big Mel, cousin Ruth, and Mel Jr. You know they're hurting real bad right now. I love you, Cuz.
