we loved Uncle Jerry from time we met him on a bermuda cruise with Cary, his nephew, that we knew from long ago. Visited him a couple of times after that and or tried to. Left a great impression on us!

Met "uncle jerry" through a cruise trip about 5 years ago with his nephew Cary, a friend from growing up. Just loved him and appreciated crossing his path and tried to keep up with him since then. A special man for sure!

Uncle Jerry took tremendous pleasure in being a native of Charleston and Folly Beach. He loved recalling the Charleston he remembered growing up in the 30's, 40's and 50s. Born into a home over the family store on King Street, he moved to Folly after graduating from engineering school at Georgia Tech and never left. He loved his home, family, friends and dogs. Always kind to those in need, he made many friends over his life. Jerry lived exactly the life he desired throughout the years. He is already missed.

Great nephew Gabriel and I will always fondly remember Uncle Jerry's intelligence and kindness. He visited our home on a number of occasions when Gabriel was small, bringing him gifts that Gabriel cherished. He was a wonderful great uncle. May his generosity of spirit continue to live within the hearts of all who knew him.

Words cannot say what a close friend Jerry was. I loved him like a brother and his departure is such a shock. My sincere condolences to his family and many friends. I shall think of Jerry often and I shall miss him. He was in my house so many times and we went out to eat together so many times. One could not ask for a better friend. I am hurt.
