My sympathy to the family:
They threw away the mold after Gerry was born. He was one of a kind. A gentle, caring, and loving person. We go back many years Gerry and I. Years of laughter and some of sorrow. I will miss him. I thank God for letting me get together with him a few months ago. We watched our last class reunion on the dvd, ate Chinese food and laughed the whole 6 hours we spent together. I have so many wonderful memories. I know he is at peace and with God in heaven. May he rest in peace.

My Uncle Gerry was the most wonderful uncle. He had such a beautiful spirit and wonderful personality. He loved his family so much and we loved him.
He was so interesting to talk to and one could come away from a conversation with him learning something about art, history, family, or life in general.
We had such good times together. We enjoyed great meals with him whether at family holiday gatherings, North End restaurants, or delicious meals prepared by my husband Frankie. My uncle enjoyed good food, good times, and good people.
He loved his Huskies and all Boston sports teams. We enjoyed many Beanpot games with him and family through the years.
He was very good to all of us. He always would call my mom, Marion, and sister, Andrea, to keep up with what was going on with them and send them gifts so they could enjoy treats at local North End pastry shops or have fun at holiday church bazaars. He was always a very thoughtful person.
We will miss him terribly but find comfort in knowing that he is not suffering now and is at peace.
We love you, Uncle Gerry.
Love, Marion, Andrea, Maureen, and Frankie

Gerry was a great guy with a big personality-he could engage in conversation easily with anyone, anywhere. His family was very important to him and liked to share stories about their many accomplishments--especially those of his nieces and nephews. Gerry's battle with health issues was long and hard but he fought the good fight bravely because he loved life.
May the Lord bless him and may Gerry rest in peace. Amen.

Heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise found at 1 Thessalonians 4:14 will bring you comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be reassuring.

I have wonderful fond memories of "Mr. Driscoll". He was a gentleman, an intellectual, a storyteller, a Boston teacher. He was a great friend. He will be missed, but his smile and wit will stay in my heart.

It is with a very heavy heart that I've learned of the passing of my friend of over 50 years.Gerry and I met at NU and immediately became friends, loving all things Boston and Massachusetts and having so many other interests to share. We lived on Newbury Street; traveled to wonderful places, laughed so strong and long, and genuinely loved each other. Many of our friends and acquaintances await him in a far more peaceful place. He loved his immediate family and his extended family. He loved his teaching and his antiques and held a view of life that was rich with passion and hope. We've had amazing memories and I'm sure we both are better men because of our common understandings of how we worked to make our city and surroundings better.I shall miss his words his laughter and his presence....but I shall never forget him;and his family is spiritually richer for his time spent with all.God Bless You!!(Go Dedham, Go Huskies, Go Red Sox .... et al. From JFK to Mennino to the Cape it's been a fabulous journey)
