Prior to coming to work at The Citadel Alumni Office in 1998, I worked from early 1995 to mid-1998 in The Citadel Protocol Office. While there, I had many occasions to participate in events which Gen. Seignious attended. He always was most gracious, pleasant, and a joy to be with. Even though I had not seen him since moving to the Alumni Office, I have fond memories of him.

My deepest condolensces to the Seignious family for his loss. He returned to The Citadel as President when we arrived for our plebe year, and together we made changes in the institution that continue to strenghten our alma mater.

His guidance and presence was an inspiration for all he touched in his brilliant career.

Mollie,

I just had a long talk with your dad about a month ago, promising to send him photos of our July 4th celebration, which is held every year at my dad's ranch. We lost him in Feburary, so it just wasn't the same. I wish Paul was able to be with your family tomorrow. Know that we would be there for you if at all possible. My prayers are with you and your family. God bless, Ann

The hallmark of his administration would be integrity. These are words the General spoke about the future when he made his first address on campus at the graduation of The Summer Camp for Boys. It was of particular interest to me since we had a personnel matter in our department which was difficult and it would take a measure of integrity to resolve the issue. General Seignious resolved it forthwith, he secured critical resources for the college and as far as I am concerned the "hallmark of his administration and personal life was integrity". I respected and admired the man as a leader and friend. May God bless his soul and give comfort to his family.
