George Overton Obituary

George Scott Overton HANAHAN, SC - George Scott Overton, 46, beloved son of the Late George W. and Marjorie R. Overton, passed away at his home in Hanahan, SC on 21 October 2011. The cause of death was a heart attack. George was born in Dunoon, Scotland on October 31, 1964. He graduated from Middleton High School in 1982. While there he developed quite a passion for music, which he has carried throughout his life. George is survived by two sisters, Cindy McNamara & Dianna Overton and a brother Fred Overton; 4 nieces, Melinda Gaines, Kimberly McNamara, Kaitlin & Bobbie Lynn Overton; 2 nephews, Craig & Daniel Overton. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 19th at 11 AM. The place of the Service will be First Christian Church (Disciples Of Christ) 1293 Orange Grove Road, Charleston, South Carolina 29407. Visit our guestbook at www.postandcourier.com/ deaths

To All Family and Our Friends.. Words can not descibe the shock and saddness your loss brings to me, so many of your friends and you family. I remeber so many great times from high school and they are as fresh today as they were current then.. Goerge are are loved by many and will so sadly missed. I hope your family my find peace with learning what a wonderful, loving and great man and person- We all lost in your passing. A grest friend then and now until we meet again in Heaven on the other side. I am one of the few who knew - You believed in Jesus and I know - when we meet up again- it will be for enturnity my friend. Rest for now my old friend and know your were, are loved and missed so much already. You sure brought so much light and laughter and love to all who were luckly enough to have known and loved you in return.. Rest peacefully George. I enjoyed knowing George for the last 11 years and he will be sadly missed by many. He almost always had a smile that just beamed from his face and especially his eyes. May God bless his family and ALL his friends that knew George so well. Till we meet again....
