George Hodge Obituary

Rev. George Franklin Hodge Ladson - Rev. George Franklin Hodge, 86, of Ladson, husband of Betty (Shull) Hodge, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2017 at Veteran's Victory House in Walterboro. Friends and family are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock PM at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11 o'clock AM at Moncks Corner Pentecostal Holiness Church, 204 Newell Street, Moncks Corner. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. George was born on October 28, 1930 in St. Stephens, SC son of the late George Washington Hodge and Minnie Lenoir (Harris) Hodge. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. George retired from Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was a retired minister of the Pentecostal holiness church. He enjoyed hunting and wood crafting. He was a member of Moncks Corner Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving in addition to his wife Betty are: two sons: Donald L. Hodge (Rita) of Ridgeville and Mark R. Hodge (Marlene) of Summerville; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister: Margie Hodge Lewis of Bonneau. He was predeceased by his son, George Preston Hodge and three sisters, Bertha "Bea" Hodge Litchfield, Edna Hodge Gaskin and Anna Lee Hodge Prosser.
