Gary Green Obituary

Gary Lee Green RIDGEVILLE, SC - Gary Lee Green, 71, of Ridgeville, husband of Mary Ellen Creel Green, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at his residence in Ridgeville. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 11 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Oakbrook Chapel, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Ste. 504, North Charleston, SC 29406. Mr. Green was born June 12, 1944 in Sioux City, IA, son of the late Harold Barney Green and Vivian Jane Peffer Green. Mr. Green retired from the US Navy after serving twenty years. He later retired from Boeing as Manager of Strategic Navigation. He graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science Degree and was fascinated with Genealogy. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen; one son and one daughter, Paula Carrillo of Banning, CA and Kevin W. Green (Traci) of Holstein, IA; four grandchildren, Kalan Dominick, Devin Carrillo and Sierra Carrillo all of Banning, CA and Rylan Jace Green of Holstein, IA; one sister, Gaylene Cherry of Texas; and a special uncle, Vernon Chedester of Sioux City, IA.
