Gary Gajewski
Mt. Pleasant - Born in Passaic, New Jersey. Gary's journey in South Carolina began in 1985, after accepting a position at South Carolina Research Authority as the program manager for a major Department of Defense contract. There, he was admired for his dedication to his employer, his employees, and his vast engineer background, replete with degrees in advanced engineering and business management. Upon his retirement, Gary enjoyed the Lowcountry Life. He loved spending time at the beach with his family and playing golf at Snee Farm Country Club. He belonged to the Men's Golf Association, the Tuesday/Friday men's group, Coastal Seniors Group, and couples golf on Sundays. Gary will be remembered as a devote Christian, a member of the Church of the Holy Cross and Wednesday morning Life Group. He is sadly missed by his wife Judi, his children Michael Gajewski of Charleston, South Carolina, Jeff Gajewski of Fairfax Virginia and Julia Powell of Greenville, South Carolina, his step-children Brian Nunziata of Sarasota, Florida and Christine Otaviano of Essex Junction, Vermont and all his grandchildren: Patrick, Kevin, Nicholas, Steven, Brooklyn, Jedi, Quinn and Sutton.
The family will welcome friends at the Church of the Holy Cross, Middle Street, Sullivan's Island, on January 23rd at 3 o'clock. A celebratory service will follow immediately in the historic church.
