Floyd Taylor Obituary

Floyd Taylor, Jr. Charleston - Floyd Ernest Taylor, 89, of Charleston, SC, widower of Cristal Hardee Taylor, passed away Saturday December 1, 2018. Floyd was born in Jackson County, AR, the son of the late Floyd E. Taylor Sr. and Ruby Langley Taylor. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp., attaining the rank of Sergeant with honors. Then he went on to a 35 year career at the Charleston Naval Shipyard as an Electrician. He was the consummate Southern Gentleman - soft-spoken, courteous, polite and caring to all. He passed away quietly at his beloved home with his loving family and Caregivers. He is survived by his daughter: Jackie Tyler (Ed) Rabin, grandchildren: Tanya Elizabeth Cole and Phillip Tyler (Maria) Cole,great-grandchildren: Johnathon Tyler Cole and Eleni Sophia Cole. He was preceded in death by his wife Cristal Lorraine Hardee Taylor, and his eldest daughter: Catherine Taylor (Thomas) Cole. Funeral services to be held at a later date.
