I will miss my Aunt Evy Lou she named me Lynwonett a combination of Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette and she will always be close to me in my heart for she reminded me of my mama. I wished I could of seen her more but was fortunate enough that the last time I saw her was with my brother. And the time was filled with love and laughter. And that is how I will remember Aunt Evy Lou

James Island has lost a very pretty lady, so full of grace. I'm
sorry I could not attend. I just had back surgery last week. Even
though I do not know all of her relatives, I just had to sign her
guest book. I loved her & I will miss seeing her. She was indeed
a beautiful person.

My precious Aunt Evy Lou, You were always one to make others laugh with your funny stories, jokes and especially your little songs, one of which you sang to me on my birthday this year while there to celebrate your birthday. Just like you to think of others first. I'm so happy we got it on video.
Thank you for the oak leaf hydrangea you shared with me from your beautiful yard. I will think of you when it blooms again next year. You were such a southern gem, always full of love and elegance.
I'm sure there were many loving friends and family members there to take your hand and welcome you thru heaven's gate. Please give Granny Gore and Mama Rosa a hug for me. We will all be together again one day.

The call came..... My dad telling me my granny was gone at that moment my heart shattered....
My granny was a women of extreme strength, courage, love and was the glue that held this family together.... She was beautiful, soft and now peaceful and free as a dove.... She was a loving wife, mother, sister, granny, great granny, great great granny and friend which her legacy will never die.... She had the ability to hold herself up with such dignity and pride in all the days of her life... Her beauty shines in us all who were lucky to be part of her devoted family... Granny I will hold you close to my heart and remember everything you taught me growing up and use it for the good.... I will try my hardest to keep this family together..... You are taking a little part of me with you as you follow your angels, who will guide you to your precious place. May you look down on us with pride on what you brought into this world with your guidance in which you are now truly our angel of Grace... As you enter your heavenly home grand dot will be there with his hand out waiting to be reunited with his beautiful wife..... May you rest in peace for which you truly deserve... For you will be truly missed and remembered for your love and honor in which we will carry on...... I will always and forever be grateful for everything you brought to this family especially the unconditional love that you gave to everyone..... I love you Granny forever and a day.... Tell Granddot hi and we still missing and loving him too....
Love your granddaughter

Rest in peace my sweet Aunt Evy Lou. Your contagious personality and sense of humor will be greatly missed. Who will I sing Loretta Lynn to late at night? Carson will miss her Aunt Lulu too, so I am attaching my favorite picture of you two. Love you!

From the time we moved next door when I was an infant, Evy Lou and Al treated me lovingly as one of their own. I loved it when Evy Lou made me grits & eggs early on Sunday mornings, and Al let me "comb his hair" until his head was shiny. Pam would dippity do my hair & babysit me. They took me to Sunday school a couple of times as a toddler to Martin Luther Lutheran church. I remember thinking that was "the best fun". I was always included with their grands at Christmas, lots of friends and food around. Fast forward a few years & both gave me away at my wedding. My point is, Evy Lou always gave love to everyone & love into everything she did...family, neighbors, church, her cooking, crafts, decorating...I've never known a more giving , selfless, sweet Godly lady.
May God wrap his loving arms around her in heaven, and continue blessing her family here with peace and comfort in wonderful memories together.
Love you Evy Lou, rest in peace.
