Evette Gilmore Stroud CHARLESTON - Mrs. Evette Gilmore Stroud, 67, of Charleston, SC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Funeral services for Mrs. Stroud will be held Tuesday, November, 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM, in Mount Zion AME Church, 5 Glebe Street, Charleston, SC 29401. Entombment will be held in Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. The family will be receiving friends at the church on Monday evening, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Ivy Beyond the Wall Service begins at 7:00 PM. She was the daughter of the late John H. Gilmore, Sr. and the late Agnes Gilmore, wife of Wayne L. Stroud, sister of Sandra G. Middleton and Angela D. Dions (Andreas), sister-in-law, Lucille Brewer; and brothers-in-law, Samuel W. Ramsey, James W. Ramsey, and Alex C. Stroud. She is preceded in death by her siblings, the late John Gilmore, Jr., David Gilmore, Mary J. Young, Robert Gilmore, Florence G. Neal-Gailliard, and Linda G. Wright.
