Ernest Everett Obituary

Ernest "Bud" Lionel Everett VARNVILLE, SC - Mr. Ernest "Bud" Lionel Everett, 74, died Thursday afternoon, July 8, 2010, in the Kindred Hospital in Charleston after an extended illness. Born Aug. 28, 1935, in Americus, GA, he was the son of the late Ernest Jackson Everett and Gladys Aline Williams Everett. He served his county in the United States Navy during the Korean War and had retired as a Travel Agent/Booking Agent for the American Express Company. He is survived by one brother: Larry Everett and wife Lynn of Americus, GA; one sister-in-law, Dee Everett of Florence, AL, five nephews and three cousins. He is also survived by his domestic partner of 17 years, Donny A. Weekley of Varnville, two step-sons and their wives as well as his beloved pets: Baxter, Tony and Dawn. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind and gentle man. A time and place for a memorial service will be announced at a later date. He was the light in his partners eyes. He was the joy in his family and friends. I can be proud to say he was my friend and will indeed miss him.

Donny, over the years he was yours to watch over, protect and comfort, take comfort in the knowledge that he is now watching over and protecting you.
