HIGGS, Ellen Ellen Mary Frances Manning Higgs, 78, wife of William Darke Higgs of Isle of Palms, SC, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2007. The memorial service will be Saturday, December 1, 2007 in Sunrise Presbyterian Church at eleven o'clock. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Mrs. Higgs was born February 3, 1929, in Lawn, Newfoundland, Canada, daughter of the late James Thomas Manning and Adell Mary Josephine Strang Manning. She was a member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, William Darke Higgs of Isle of Palms, SC, a son, William Darke Higgs, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, a daughter, Stacey Higgs Gibson of Blowing Rock, NC, three grandchildren, Matthew Higgs, Megan Higgs and Kathleen Gibson and a number of brothers and sisters.
