Elizabeth "Betty" Hill Goree Summerville - Elizabeth Hill "Betty" Goree, 96, of Summerville, SC, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022. Funeral Services will be Thursday morning, August 11, 2022, at 11 o'clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock at Parks Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials in her name may be made to the American Heart Association, 174 East Bay St., Suite 300, Charleston, SC 29401. Betty was born February 27, 1926, in Holly Hill, SC, a daughter of the late John Dove Hill and Julia Elizabeth Haley Hill. She loved playing golf, putting together jigsaw puzzles, doing needlework, and reading books, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Betty leaves behind her son, William J. Goree, Jr.; daughters, Cheryl G. Lisk (Brad) and Patricia A. Goree, all of Summerville, SC; sister, Sara H. Thomas of Blenheim, SC; grandchildren, Jenks Lisk (Anna), Haley Romeo (Joseph), and Katie Kellett (Ryan); and six great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. (RET) William J.
