Mr. Steed is the estranged husband of Mrs. Georgie Mae Steed; son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James and Estelle M. Steed, Sr.; father of Mr. David Ray Cook (Emily); brother of Mr. William Bryant and Mr. John Lee Sherrill Steed, both of Awendaw, SC, Mr. Arthur Steed (Kathleen) of Denver, CO; the late Mr. Richard Steed, Ms. Hazel Steed, Mr. Leon "Bill" Steed, Mr. James Steed, Jr., Mr. Maxie Steed, Ms. Letha Steed, Ms. Delores Steed, Mrs. Ruth Gray, and Ms. Elizabeth Steed; brother-in-law of Rev. Anna L. Steed and Mrs. Willa Mae Steed both of Awendaw, SC. Mr. Steed was 75 years old and was a drywall and sheetrock finisher and retired from Bowles Nursing Home. He loved deer hunting.
