Edward Philip Price
Isle of Palms - Edward P. Price, 83, of Isle of Palms, South Carolina, passed away on December 31, 2025, after a brief illness.
Born in New York City in 1942 to Samson and Alma (Matlick) Price, Edward was the middle of three brothers and grew up in Roslyn, New York. He attended Colgate University before proudly serving his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. His first assignment was as an editor of the Pentagon Press, after which he was stationed in Korea, and was assigned to manage an Army golf course due to his proficiency as a golfer.
After his military service, Edward, along with his brother Arthur, co-founded Global Trading, an international frozen fruit packing company based in Greenville, South Carolina. Together they built a highly successful business.
Golf remained an important part of Edward's life. A skilled player and an avid fan, he created indelible memories for all who played with him in New York and his adopted home of South Carolina. He was a devoted member of Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, South Carolina for 20 years.
Edward is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, and his nephews, Andrew (Jerri) and Stephen (Lisa) Price. He was predeceased by his parents, his stepmother, Ruth Price; and his brothers, all from Greenville, South Carolina.
Edward was known for his wit, generosity, and "Eddie stories." He was a true friend to those lucky enough to be his friend.
