Edward Law Obituary

Edward A. Law MONCKS CORNER - Edward Arthur Law, 91, of Moncks Corner, SC, retired owner and operator of Law's Radio & Electric, died Tuesday morning at his residence. His funeral will be 4:00 PM this Thursday afternoon, June 6, 2013, in the First Baptist Church, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in the St. John's Baptist Church Cemetery, Pinopolis. Mr. Law was born December 5, 1921, in Wassamassaw, SC, a son of James H. Law and Daisie Ballentine Law. He was a graduate of Berkeley High School, and was an Army veteran of W.W. II of which he was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Mr. Law was a member of the American Legion Post 126, formerly served on the Moncks Corner Town Council, and was a former president of the Hagen Hunting Club. He opened Law's Radio & Electric in 1948 and sold the first TV in Berkeley County. Mr. Law was the widower of Barbara Dill Law to whom he was married for 63 years. Surviving are, his daughter, Peggy L. Scogin and her husband, Marty, of Moncks Corner; a brother, Robert D. Law of Hollywood; four grandchildren, Joanne (Michael) Potts, Aimee (Juan) Viera, Felicia Scogin, and Keree (Westley) Gaskins; and seven great grandchildren, Jessica, Zachary, Allyson, Emmalee, Jayden, Alexis, and John.
