Edward Gamble Obituary

Edward D. Gamble Mt. Pleasant - Edward D. Gamble, 86, of Mt Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Johnnie Mae Gamble, entered into eternal rest Friday, December 10, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. Edward was born January 18, 1935 in Jamestown, South Carolina, son of John M. Gamble, Sr. and Eddie R. Gamble. He was the proud owner of multiple Red & White grocery stores. And, as a longstanding member of Bethel United Methodist Church, which he joined in 1979, he served as a trustee, usher, and money counter. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Johnnie Mae Gamble; his daughter, Donna Gamble (Todd Friddle) of North Charleston; his grandchildren, Molly Edwards (Andy) of Summerville, Austin Friddle (Ashley) of North Charleston; his great-grandchildren, Callie Edwards, and Flinn Edwards of Summerville; and his nephew, John Gamble III (Devon) of James Island, SC.
