Edward Bendt Obituary

Edward Clarence Bendt, Jr. MT. PLEASANT - Edward Clarence Bendt, Jr., 84, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, August 8, 2023. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 10:00 am, where the family will receive friends one hour before the service. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1380 Mathis Ferry Rd. Edward was born March 27, 1939, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Edward C. Bendt, Sr. and the late Audrey Renken Bendt. After proudly serving in the U. S. Air Force for four years, he had a career at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. And, after 35 years, he retired as Supervisor of Supply Building 69. He will be remembered for his hard work, and the way he loved his family. He is survived by his children, Edward Clarence Bendt III (Belinda) and Cheryl Marie Bendt, both of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three grandchildren, Kamee Marie Bowlin, Krey Edward Bendt, and Samantha Haley Bendt; and great-grandchild, Savannah Marie Bowlin.
