Edna Bonds Obituary

Edna Lorna "Eddie" Bonds, 63, of Round O, South Carolina, passed away on January 1, 2026.
A celebration of Eddie's life will be held on January 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Givhans Ferry State Park, down by the river-one of the places she loved most and where she felt at peace.
Eddie was born on October 12, 1962, in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Adolphus Gordon Belcourt and Mary Lorna Angella (McKenzie) Belcourt. Known to many simply as "Eddie," she was a free spirit with a deep love for nature and life's simple joys.
She found happiness kayaking along the river, camping under the stars, gathering around bonfires, and cooking meals meant to be shared. Eddie also enjoyed bird watching, gardening, and thrifting-always finding beauty and purpose in the overlooked and unexpected.
Eddie is survived by her son, Joel Bonds; her daughter, Katie Hart (Casey Hart); her cherished grandchildren, Cameron and Chase; her mother, Lorna Belcourt; her sisters, Audrey Moeller, Annette Nagel, and Faye Partsch; and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by Adolphus Belcourt, Margaret Lee, Gordon Belcourt and Clayton Belcourt.
Eddie was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and memaw. Her strength, love, and adventurous spirit will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
