Eddie Ruth Prosser Jordan
Mount Pleasant - Eddie Ruth Prosser Jordan, age 81, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 16, 2026. Born on May 9, 1944, in Prospect, South Carolina, Eddie was a cherished daughter of the late McLendon Prosser and the late Mettie Creel Prosser.
Eddie Ruth was the beloved wife of John L. Jordan, with whom she shared a life filled with love and mutual support. Together, they raised a family that extended her legacy of kindness and care. She attended Johnsonville High School. She loved fishing, hunting, social media - particularly Facebook, and was a two time women's Yeaman's Hall Golf Club Champion, winning the first year she learned to play golf. She was also one of Charleston's best women bowlers. However, she will be remembered for the way she loved her family. It was no secret she loved her children the most, until the grandchildren were born.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Lowery (Robert) of Charleston, South Carolina, Marilyn Jordan of Daniel Island, and John Jordan, Jr. (Kim) of Charleston, South Carolina. Her family circle expanded with five grandchildren: Jordan Crowder (Corey), Caroline Lowery, Robert Lowery, Jr., Brittany Robbins (Thomas), and Kinsey Jordan. The affection and joy she inspired also touched two great-grandchildren, Sullivan Crowder and Caroline Crowder. Her life was also enriched by close bonds with her siblings, Patricia Clark and Terrell Prosser (Sharon), both of South Carolina, along with many beloved nieces and nephews who remember her fondly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, McCrey Prosser and his wife, Martha Jean Prosser, Hellen Prosser and Ray Prosser.
The family will gather to honor and celebrate Eddie Ruth Prosser Jordan's life at a Funeral Service at Heritage Holiness Church, 3836 Ladson Rd, Ladson, SC, on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m, with a reception to follow. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service, also at Heritage Holiness Church. Interment will be held at 3:00 pm the same day at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd., Mount Pleasant, SC.
Eddie Ruth's enduring spirit and dedication to her loved ones leave behind a legacy of love and strength. She will be remembered with great respect and affection by all who were fortunate to know her.
