I didn't know Donna for very long ... or very well. But she was one of those people that you connected to right away. I'll always remember her smile ... and her laugh, even the morning of surgery. She was a beautiful person - and her zeal for life and her family was contagious. I will be praying for all of you, her family. You knew her best, and you loved her the most. May warm memories of her comfort and solace you now.

Carl,
We will miss Donna every time I open an email, go to Hunley Park, or the clinic. She always brought a smile to our faces. I will not forget how she had all her Second Graders drink all their milk and turn their cartons upside down before they could leave the lunch room. She will forever be Donna Dearest.

Donna taught our son Chad in the 2nd grade at North Charleston Elementary School. She instilled in him many good study skills that he took with him all the way through college. To this day, he will tell you that Mrs. Wilkerson did that for him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this sad time. She left the world too soon, but her legacy will live on.

Carl,
I loved Donna so much, everyone knew that she loved my family. My boys loved her so much back.
My family was her family. She fell in love with me and I fell in love with her the moment that we met at NCES back 20+ years ago. I will miss her so much, she always could make me laugh and smile.
Mom and Dad are away on a cruise or they would be here for you.
I love you!

Carl, it seems unreal that Donna has left us. She (and you) have meant so much in our lives. She touched us first through the children - teaching Allyson and Todd and having Alicia to help with mentoring in her class at North Charleston Elementary. Then, she became our friend and we have loved both of you ever since. We shall never forget her or you and hold a special place for you both. We shall continue to pray for you and your family. Love, Gayle & Joel Frampton

Dearest Donna,
It wasn't long ago when you first came into our lives, yet it feels like we've always known you. You made an instant impact with your warmth, kindness, and generosity, your silly humor and bright spirit. You always made us smile. Ella misses "The Queen", her Granny D, but she will know you are resting peacefully in heaven.
We were lucky to have you in our lives, and we will forever cherish our memories of you. You always let us know that friends are the family we choose... well, you are a part of our family.
We miss and love you, we will carry your memory in our hearts forever.

And to your loving husband, known at our house as "Pop Pop" Carl,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and there will always be a place in our family for you. Please let us know if we can do anything for you.
All our love,
Donna (Bomba), Sarah, Ryan, Ella, Luke and Sean

To the Wilkerson family: Mrs. Wilkerson was an awesome woman. I loved her dearly. She taught me in the 2nd grade at North Charleston Elementary. She and I shared similarity in our last name. Yes, she did love her paddle, but had a heart of gold. Please know that your family are in my prayers. May God bless and keep you.
