Donald Leifeld Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that I say my farewells to my brother, Don. He often referred to me as his "Little Sister". I will miss that, as well as visiting him in Charleston. Bill and I have so many happy memories of those visits, going back to the 80's when our Mother had a chance to go with us. Oh, how he loved having her there!!! You worked hard, Don!!!! May you now cast your nets amongst the best of fishermen !

Rest in peace. Late brother Joe enjoyed his time with you a few years ago.

From fishing brothers memories to Captain Don's, you toiled and left a legacy to be proud of. With love and prayers, may you now rest in peace.

One of God’s great gifts is our siblings. We learn so much from each other. For many reasons I loved and respected my brother Don. He charted his own course. Rest In Peace Don.

Worked hard for others and asked nothing for yourself. I miss your voice but love the memories. Until we meet again.

To June, you know that my heart and prayers are with you at this time. To Don's children, I got to know your Dad this past year while staying in their home on my visits to Charleston. We sat in "his" den and discussed many topics from accounting to fishing. He spoke proudly of each of you, and I know that he worked hard and long hours to take care of his family. He graciously welcomed me and told me to come anytime. It will not be the same when I go the next time. My prayers to the family. RIP Don

A true legend indeed in every regard...will miss our talks and his ever encouraging spirit. Affectionately known to many of us as ‘Captain Daddy’, he will never be forgotten. Not sure who I will pop in to chat with when I’m in town now, but when I pass through...I will smile and say you’ve done well, just as you’ve always said to me. Sail on in love and peace.

What a wonderful person to have met. I had the pleasure of meeting him thru business callings. Prayers for his family at this time.

Captain Don was always a joy to be around. I was lucky enough to meet him several years ago with my dad. Prayers go out to his family and friends!

June, please accept my condolences. I know this is a hard knock. Know that you have friends and family to help and support you. I didn't know Don well, but truly enjoyed being with him. He was a sweet and funny man that will be sorely missed by so many.

I know captain don for over 35 years back in days from when I use to work at Alex’s I miss him especially his hugs, he will be miss by lots of people and friends he will well miss RIP Captain love and miss you
