Woody was an honest man. One less of a dying breed. Thank God his tribe has increased and he has left Grands to follow on. It is not easy in today's troubled world.

I want the Aydlette Family to know that The Boys Home of the South will remember Derwood as one of our biggest supporters ever. His support came in so many different ways. He touched so many lives of these boys in a very positive way.

A commanding and compassionate man. He sure tolerated a rowdy group of neighborhood kids running in and out of his house! (In my heart I think he got a kick out of it!).

Thanks for putting up with our teen years! We're all better for having had a part of you in it.

Deepest thoughts with the family.

Woody came into my life when he was looking for help finding homes for his horses in Salem, SC. He became a patron of our rescue organization, a trusted adviser, a source of humor, and a friend. I am shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his lovely wife and his family. I will think of him, back in the saddle on his favorite horse enjoying a brisk ride in the cool hills of Heaven. He will be missed by many, he was a great man.
