Deloris Vaughan
Summerville - Deloris Bazzle Vaughan, 83, of Summerville passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with cancer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 12 o'clock noon at Summerville Baptist Church, 417 Central Ave, Summerville, SC 29483. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in honor of Deloris to ALSAC/ St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Deloris was born in Charleston, SC on December 20, 1942. She attended Cottageville schools and graduated from Cottageville High School in 1961. She met the love of her life, Gregg Vaughan, in 1959 and they were married for 62 years. After 35 years as a hairdresser, she retired and spent much of her time working in her yard and taking care of Gregg and her family.
Deloris is survived by her loving husband, Gregg S. Vaughan, Sr. of Summerville, SC; sons, Gregg Scott Vaughan, Jr. (Laura) of Summerville SC, Stacy D. Vaughan (Lisa) of Greenville, SC; brothers, Ervin Bazzle (Caroline) of Hendersonville, NC, Burt Bazzle (Lynn) of Summerville, SC; sister, Cindy Bazzle Sarvis of Cottageville, SC; grandchildren, Marie V. Berry (Tripp) of Charleston, SC, Dr. Lewis Vaughan (Morgan) of Moncks Corner, SC, Tyler J. Vaughan (Wallace) of Greenville, SC, Tate A. Vaughan of Greenville, SC; great-granddaughter, Hazel E. Berry of Charleston, SC. She is predeceased by her parents, Mood and Hazel Craven Bazzle.
