Debbie was A wonderful colleague. This sudden and unexpected loss has left us all speechless and breathing prayers of comfort and grace to all her family and friends. My sincere condolences and appreciation for such a lovely lady. She was so kind and loved her profession, caring for the infants on the neonatal unit. Whatever task was at hand, she managed to provide an air of ease and encouragement along the way. She took time to recognize her colleagues' skills and took time to be personable with so many.
She always had nice things to say about my daughter, as the mother and grandmother in her could relate to how much we adore our children. You could see that compassion extended into her neonatal nursing practice.
Your family will be in our prayers! Love Barb and all your adoring coworkers

We will miss Debbie so much. She always had a smile on her face every time we were together. I could always count on her to post beautiful pictures of my grandkids, Cooper and Jaxon on facebook. She and Donnie spent a lot of time taking them places and she could take the best pictures. Cooper was especially close to his Nina, he will always keep her close to his heart...I believe he has her smile... May GOD bless and comfort all of you, please know we are praying for you. I am so saddened to hear about Debbie's passing. I worked with her Charleston and loved working with her. As a new RN to the unit she taught me so much, and I always loved it when we had assignments near each other as not only was she fun to work with, but she was also an excellent nurse and I knew that if I needed any help that she would always jump right in to give the best care to our babies. She was always talking about her family and it was fun even after I left Charleston and moved to Charlotte to be able to keep up with her, 20 years after moving it was still great to hear about her husband and kids, her grandbabies and that adorable dog of hers. I am so so sorry for your loss and my prayers go out to the entire family during this time. She was a wonderful lady!!!

We carpooled to work together way back when, and loved to talk about traveling and I always wanted to take a ride in her red mustang! She was always beaming about her grandchildren! I will miss her!
