Deborah Britton Obituary

Deborah Britton CHARLESTON - Deborah Lee Sizer Britton of Charleston, SC, passed peacefully away into the arms of the Lord on the evening of March 4, 2015. Deborah was born on December 7, 1951 in Covington, VA to the late Ralph Lee "Pee Wee" and Mary Jacqueline Sites Sizer. She attended school in Lynchburg, VA from kindergarten until her senior year of high school (E.C. Glass Class of 1970) when she transferred to Charleston, SC with her parents. She obtained her high school degree from Fort Johnson High School. She continued studies at Palmer College. After retiring from 30 years of service with Bell South Telephone Company, she enjoyed spending her time watching sunrises and sunsets at Folly Beach along with all the excitement that living close to the ocean allows. She was fondly known to her friends there as "Sunshine". Loved ones left to cherish her memory are sons Sean C. Britton and Scott F. Britton (Erica) of Charleston; her sister, Beverly Sizer Bond of Lynchburg, VA; uncle, Guy E. Sites, Jr. of Covington, VA; nephews, Chuck Richards, III (Alecia) of Springfield, UT, Brian Richards (Natalia) of Yorktown, VA and Neal Richards (Wendy) of Stafford, VA. She is also survived by her former husband and friend, James F. Britton and her large extended family including Brandon Britton (Heather), Meghan, Katelyn and Jacob Behlmer, all of Charleston and Tracy Britton Boring, Sherri Britton Smith and Lisa Behlmer, of Florida. A Celebration of Deborah's Life will be held at Brickhouse Plantation Folly Rd., James Island. On Tuesday March 10th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Folly Beach Nature Conservatory Inc., P. O. Box 48, Folly Beach, SC 29439.
