David Charles Townsend CHARLESTON - David Charles Townsend, 42, of Charleston, passed away, Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Monday, January 5, 2014 at 11 am at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main St., Summerville. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 12 pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private. Mr. Townsend was born March 29, 1972, in Stratford, NJ, son of Mrs. Elsie Marjorie Hartnett Townsend and the late Ronald J. Townsend, Sr. He attended and graduated from New Jersey Schools. He was a construction worker with Trojan. He attended St. Michael's Church in Charleston. Survivors, including his mother Elsie Townsend, are a son: Tyler David Townsend of Winslow, NJ, one brother and one sister: Ronald J. Townsend (Jacqueline) of North Charleston and Kelly R. Townsend of Phoenixville, PA, Grandmother: Ann Townsend of Philadelphia, PA, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister: Cynthia Ann Townsend. It was a blessing and privilege to know David.Words can not explain how so very sorry I am this happened. He is such a cool person.My heart is with you.David will be remembered.I plan to see him again in Heaven. I'll remember David yelling at the T.V while the "Eagles"play football,snoring like a bull frog(i called it ha ha) heading out the door for work and standing on the beach in the rain.Peace be with you.
