Cynthia I. " Cindy " Gaston Moncks Corner - Cynthia Irene " Cindy " Gaston, 69, of Moncks Corner, wife to Fred Rhyne Gaston of 35 years, entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 7, 2022, surrounded by her family. Born on July 19, 1952 in Loris, South Carolina, Cindy was a daughter of the late Elwood Blanton and Irene (Cannon) Blanton. Cindy will be remembered for her kind heartedness and her willingness to help others. She enjoyed being a domestic engineer, her husband will remember her fried fish and shrimp, which he enjoyed many times. She enjoyed animals, spending much time with Pooh Bear, Roxy and Chloe, her dogs. She also often made food for her friends who would visit to spend time with her. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Priscilla Bravo; her brothers, Kenneth and Darryl Blanton. In addition to her husband, Rhyne, Cindy is survived by her sister, Barbara Franche of Charlotte, North Carolina; her brother, Clarence Blanton (deceased wife, Cheryl) of Johnsonville, South Carolina; her sister-in-law, Tawnya Gaston-Scott (Jeff) of Goose Creek; her nephews, Neal Blanton (Jill), Chance Blanton (Niki), Christopher Franche (Christie), Tony Gaston, and her additional nieces and nephews; her dear friend and neighbor, Melissa Smith (Randy) of Moncks Corner, SC. A gathering of Cindy's family and friends will be from 4:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation in Goose Creek. Services will be at 5:00 P.M. following the gathering. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cindy`s memory may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
