Corinne Holt Tant Orangeburg, SC - Corinne Holt Tant, 96, of Orangeburg, South Carolina, former longtime resident of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and wife for 75 years of the late Thomas W. Tant, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 29, 2019 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 3:00 pm. Entombment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Friday from 2:00 pm until time of the service. Corinne was born August 27, 1922 in Archdale, North Carolina, daughter of the late Millard Fillmore Holt and the late Ina Mae Purvis Holt. She was a member of Sullivan's Island Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Claudette T. Smith (David), Peggy T. Smith (William) and Kathryn T. Hyland; one son, James W. Tant (Donna); eleven grandchildren, Robert, Thomas, Stephanie, Suzanne, Chalsey, Casey, Amy, Glynn, John, Amanda and Angela; seventeen great-grandchildren, Megan, Abby, Elijah, Caleb, Isaiah, Lily, Wayne, Ryan, Christopher, Joshua, Isabella, Mallory, Morgan, Madison, Emma, Hunter and Hudson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four siblings, Louise Davis, Marilyn Davis, Laverne Mason and H.B. Holt.
