Constance Norris Obituary

Constance "Connie" Norris CHARLESTON - Connie McClure Norris, 75, of Charleston, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 17, 2019. She was born August 29, 1943 in Jacksonville Beach, FL to the late Kenneth F. and Roxie Hamlin McClure. Connie graduated from North Charleston High School in 1961. She was employed at South Carolina National Bank for 33 years. She then went back to school at 55 years of age to earn her certificate in medical transcription. She spent many hours in her yard with a love for gardening , boating and fishing. She loved to dance and loved Elvis Presley! She also liked to watch college basketball - Go Tarheels! She is survived by her husband, Roger Norris, a daughter, Roxanne (Guy) Talent, of Charleston, a son, Billy Bessinger, of Rural Retreat, VA, two step-sons, Lee (Amy) Norris and Wade (Farrah) Norris, all of Wilmington, NC, a brother, Kenneth (Libby) McClure, of North Charleston, her mother-in-law, Evelyn Norris, of Wilmington, NC, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 12 noon to 2:00 pm Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue in North Charleston with a funeral service following at 2:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.
