I worked with Skip at SCRA earlier on when we all felt like family and Skip is one of the good guys - always smiling and just a wonderful beautiful person. He will always be remembered and loved by all. The Lord be with you.

Skip and I were classmates at The Citadel. I never knew him while attending college, but met him at our 30th reunion in 1999. His wit and way with words will certainly be missed. Rest in peace, Brother....

Skip and I worked together years ago at SCRA in the North Charleston location. We both had work spaces located in the AFG department. It was not uncommon for Skip to be rounding the corner of one hallway as I was rounding the corner of another intersecting hallway. We always laughed and commented that one day we might actually have a collision. To this day, those memories bring a big smile to my face. Skip, you will be missed; your life and your life's story mattered. My trust and confidence is that the God of all comfort will be with Patty, your children and grandchildren, as well as other family members and friends as they navigate this difficult time. I know that you are in the very best place imaginable, the arms of Jesus, where there is no more pain and suffering.

I first met Skip when my daughter Jada Gates went work for him around the turn on the century. I saw her blossom and grow in confidence and enthusiasm as part of his team, He trusted her and treated her like the professional she is. This was especially evident when she had her children and he supported her need to have a flexible work schedule. She has always spoken of working for Skip and his group as her best job.
As a mother, I thank you Skip for all you are and for your legacy

I will always remember Skips great attitude and humor from the day I met him in 1965 during our "knob" year up until his gathering two weeks ago. A part of my youth died with him, but he will always be remembered. Friend, you will be missed. May God greet you warmly and add you to that muster in Heaven.

Sweet, Sweet Friends,
Our thoughts & prayers are with each of you. It's at such a tender time in life we are reminded of many things isn't it? Life being a fragile gift, with every single day being a blessing. As well, such pivotal moments serve as reminder of what a cherished gift is held within ones memory, and their memories alike. And with that, we pause.
Skip (as well as with of you) has blessed Howard and I with many, many precious memories to draw from both now and in the years to come. His smile, his contagious laughter, his humorous stories as well as his loving hugs only scratch the surface. And for these things and many more, please know the Williams count their blessings for the joy of knowing him, and the gift of his (your) friendship! May our Fathers finest blessings be poured out of each of you, may His peace that passes all human understanding reign in your hearts. Our love....

I met Skip in 2014, when he was a student in the Boating Safety Class taught by the Golden Corner Lakes Sail and Power Squadron in Seneca, South Carolina. He and Patty joined our squadron in April, and attended several of our meetings and boating events. The following year, Skip took 3 more courses from the United States Power Squadron, including Seamanship, Piloting and Advanced Piloting. Skip earned the USPS Grade of Advanced Pilot as a result of these studies. At the same time, Skip also served as a Member At Large with the squadron, As the Commander of Golden Corner Lakes, I can say that Skip will be missed by all of us who have had the pleasure of knowing him. May God bless and watch over Patty and your family now that Skip has "crossed the bar".
