I'll miss uncle David as the years pass but I know he and my father are once again together with Granny Burke.

Aunt Nancy, my thoughts prayers wishes and love to you Buck and the entire family on the east coast who has been hit by this.

David was such a cute and sweet little boy and grew into a fine man! Joe and I are so happy we got to visit with you all in June. Made the trip even more special.You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love you!

Words can not begin to express what Coach Burke meant to Stephen "Stevo" Goewey, and myself. David took Stevo under his wing, and developed him as he was his own son. I could never ask for a better mentor. Because of him Stevo was able to learn to speak his mind, and stand by his convictions! Although many may perceive David as being "Gruff" few knew how big his heart really was! Stephen never got to meet my Father, but looked up to Coach Burke as his "Grandpa". I can not think of a bigger better Tribute than that!

Such a good man, I was privileged to know him and Nancy! Buck and Nancy I love you very much and I am here if you need anything! All of you are in my prayers! Love ya'll!!!

Sorry to hear of coach burke's death. I knew him for more than 30 years since his days at Baptist College. Enjoyed many conversations with him over the years. Did a great job as goose creek highs equipment manager. He will be missed
