Mr Manning was a special teacher. He allowed those who could to excel. Our senior year at North Muskegon (1973), he picked a play especially for the characters in our class. He made a difference.

Dortha and family, I will never forget the times that I spent with your dad, mom and brother. I know that they are so happy to be reunited again. I loved them all dearly and I thank you for sharing them with me and my children. We hold the fondest memories of our times together and your dad bringing me shortbread as a wedding gift was the greatest. RIP friend.

THOUGHTS and PRAYERS go out to his family. What a wonderful person he was. I along with my brother Don and sister Becky had the honor to have him as a teacher in the early 70's. He was so helpful and understanding. WHAT AN AWESOME TEACHER HE WAS.

I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Manning passed away. He was an amazing and unforgettable teacher - and incredibly funny. I learned so much from him, not just about English, but about how to hold myself to higher standards. Rest in peace, Mr. Manning.
