Georgia and Family,
We are saddened to hear of Coach Hughes's death. It has been a long time but only seems like yesterday we were all in Blackville..we were living down in the valley and you on Reynolds Street. I guess by now you have figured out who this is from. I remember when Chuckie was born and later came Tammy and before you knew it there was Brenda and David. Momma speaks of both of you and the fun times at the Blackville Jr. Sr. Proms.

Love and Prayers to all of you.

Dear Georgia and family,

My daughters and I wish to express our love and sympathy in the departure from this life of my cousin "Buddy" as we called him 70 years ago [aka Charles Haskell Hughes, and "Chuck"].

I still vividly recall this cousin who was tall enough to stand on the floor and change a light bulb in a ceiling fixture. Such are the sorts of things which become lifelong memories.

Our paths parted, separated by geography and life work, until, in recent years, in retirement, we renewed acquaintances. Those visits, in which we shared summaries of our experiences, were pleasant and memorable occasions.

Chuck has gone ahead into the presence of the Lord. In the Lord's own good time, we shall follow.

We pray that peace and tranquility from God's grace shall fill your souls as you move forward, treasuring the memories, and looking forward to the future in the light of eternity.

With Love,

Bill Hughes, Janette Hill, and Kathleen Tandberg
