Christopher Michael Shepp CHARLESTON - Christopher Michael Shepp, 40, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 5, 2023. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mt. Pleasant Chapel. Christopher was born February 12, 1983, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Pamela Housand Shepp and the late Michael Wayne Shepp. In the words of one of his many lifelong friends, Graham Smith, captures "Shepp" perfectly: "The one word that describes Shepp most perfectly is genuine. He was a man that wore his heart on his sleeve for the world to see and lived with passion that influenced everyone around him. The way Shepp's brain worked was nothing less than amazing. His love for music, art, movies, literature and intellectual conversation inspired everyone lucky enough to spend time with him. It was impossible to go anywhere and not be surrounded by friends who he touched. Shepp's smile and energy had the ability to fill the largest room and radiate into the darkest corners. The world is lucky to have had such a brilliant soul bless it over all these years. We are all forever changed for the better and his impact will never be forgotten. With heavy hearts, we will push forward and live with the passion that you instilled in us. It will never be taken away and cannot be broken. Thank you for being our friend and helping us grow into who we are today. Rest easy my brother we love you!" He is survived by his mother, Pamela and grandfather, James H. Housand, both of Charleston, SC; and uncle, James H. Housand Jr. of Conway, SC. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Sheppy will be remembered in my heart forever as a funny, loving and sweet friend. I only got to know him for a short while working with him in Nola but it was some of the best conversations and fun times I´ve had. I will never forget knowing Chris all the way since elementary school. From doing strings class, to high school, Chris never had a mean thing to say about a person. Smart, funny, kind and made sure everyone was included. You really don´t see that in a person too often. I´ll miss running into you and always seeing your smile and great since of humor. I had the pleasure of being Chris´s Middle School Guidance Counselor. I just loved that kid as did everyone else on the faculty. Charming, smart, hilarious, righteous...even in Middle School he was a true Renaissance Man. I am saddened that the world lost this bright light.

I never had the pleasure of actually meeting Shepp but I´ve worked in F&B for years and I´ve seen him around for so long. He always seemed so full of life and like such an important part of our community. He will be missed. My heart goes out to all those who grieve the loss of his presence here. I´m so sorry.
