Christine C. Buncum MT. PLEASANT - Mrs. Christine Cephus Buncum, 92, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Viewing for Mrs. Buncum will take place on Friday, July 18, 2025, 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., at The Church of the Atonement Reformed Episcopal Church - 324 "5th" Avenue - Mt. Pleasant, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., at St. John's Reformed Episcopal Church - 91 Anson Street - Charleston, SC. The Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens - 1308 Mathis Ferry Road - Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is survived by her children: John P.A. Buncum, Jr. (Rita Roache), Cheryl Buncum Clinton (James "Bernie"), and Christy Pamela Buncum-Robinson (Perry); bonus son: Clyde Bennett (Gloria); grandchildren: Dale Ronald Griffin, Jr. (Ashley), Trevor Jonte' Griffin, Lauren Buncum, Presley Robinson, Shayla Robinson, Perry J. Robinson, Persephone Clinton and Allison and Courtney Bennett; siblings: Delores Anderson, Betty Butler, Ben Butler (Idabelle) and Moses Middleton (Levonia); sisters-in-law: Rosa Lee Buncum Ervin (Sam), Mabel Buncum Addison and Oralee Buncum; and brother-in-law: Ernell Buncome. She was preceded in death by her husband: John P.A. Buncum, Sr.; parents: Samuel and Dora S. Cephus; granddaughter: Krisjen N. Buncum; mother-in-law: Carrie Green Buncum, and father-in-law: Julius Buncum, Sr. Mrs. Buncum retired from Central Supply/Sterile Processing for MUSC.
