I worked with Charles at C&B 25 years ago and I still think of the man he was. I was a 30 year old, white girl when I started working there. He took me under his wing and helped me anytime I needed it. He always had time and never lost his composure. He loved to laugh with me too. I remember how he always dressed impeccably, drank warm lemon water and ran up the stairs in his 60´s every day. I loved and respected this awesome human being like a father. I am sad to just see he is no longer on this earth but am thankful I got to know him and I know he is dressed up drinking lemon water with God. My prayers go out to all who loved him.

Mr. Washington taught science at BAS when I was principal there. He was such a wonderful, outstanding teacher who cared about each individual student. He always had a smile and made the best if any situation. He had my utmost respect. As a first year principal, he guided me in how best to approach leading the school. I am grateful for his wisdom and mentoring. I will miss him. My prayers go out to the family. You were blessed with a true treasure of a man.
