Charles Sherwood Obituary

Charles Newton Sherwood SUMMERVILLE - Charles Newton Sherwood, 78, of Summerville, SC, died at a Summerville hospital, on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. A memorial service will be held Friday afternoon, March 11, 2011, at PARKS FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL at 3 o'clock. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans Chapter # 17, C/O CDR John Olson-Treasurer, 8712 Chamblee Court, Charleston, SC 29420-6862. Mr. Sherwood was born October 19, 1932, in Carrollton, MO, a son of Johnnie Clark Sherwood and Veda Ward Sherwood. He was a US Air Force Veteran of Viet Nam. Survivors include one son, Joseph C. Sherwood and wife Valarie of Summerville; two daughters, Connie Iannelli-Smith and husband, Derek of Goose Creek and Nichole Sherwood of Summerville; one sister, Bonnie Allwood of MO; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Connie, Joey, Nikki and Families: Our thoughts are with you during this most difficult time. We are praying for peace in your hearts that only Christ can give.
We remember your Dad as we visited with him at our home in Brandon and Sun City. We visited with him at and after Uncle Jr funeral. We also went to see him in Mo. at his home.
Memories are in the mind and the one thing that no one can take away!! Live for the day that you will be reunited with all your loved ones. Love you all Uncle Donnie and Aunt Gloria

Connie, Nikki and Joey: We go way, way back with your Dad and have many fond memories from church and the 76th. It is good to know that all the suffering is gone and he is in heaven with his Heavenly Father.
