"My friend," as a conversation with Chuck would always include. I've heard him say it so many times with others. This humble, kind, and caring individual loved people, life, and all that we share together. God bless Chuck, as good a soul as you will find, and a friend of us all.

Charleston has lost a true gentleman and great friend. I always enjoyed our social conversations, particularly at the Carolina Yacht Club or when he was walking the family dog at White Point Gardens. Like so many others, I am really going to miss him. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.
Sincerely,
John

It was a privilege to work with Chuck, a masterful appraiser of great integrity and insight. I hope that warm and wonderful memories bring his family great comfort now and evermore.

I am so very sorry to hear about Chuck´s passing. My greatest professional experience was with and because of Chuck. He, along with Tommy Hartnett, convinced a NY judge to carve out a new legal way to appraise a plantation (and to say the word `plantation´ with an extra syllable or two). We attorneys were blessed to along for the ride. We all had such a wonderful trip; he was impressive in the courtroom and a barrel of fun outside. That trip was about 20 years ago and thinking about it still makes me chuckle and puts a smile on my face. He will be truly missed and remembered.

Uncle Chuck was such an awesome man and I will miss him terribly. He is the only one to call me Aussie and helped me get connected to SPAWAR when I retired from the Marine Corps. He happened to be in Beaufort the day after my son, Philip, was born. He lived life to the fullest and cared for many of us by his actions. May God bless Bettina and Felicia through this time of loss.
