Charles Horan Obituary

Charles Terrence Horan CHARLESTON - Charles Terrence "Terry" Horan, born May 30, 1941, died unexpectedly the evening of April 1, 2021. Born in Washington, DC and residing most of his life in Bethesda, MD before retiring to Charleston, SC, Terry made community wherever he was. He attended Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. and earned his graduate degree at Notre Dame University. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. Horan and Catherine McCune Horan and his sister, Mary Louise Horan Wrike (Peter). He is survived by his brother and sisters, Janet Horan Haughey (Richard), James P. Horan (Christine) and Kathryn Horan Behrens (Jon) and by his nieces and nephews, James Maxim Horan, Alana R. Horan, Matthew Behrens, Daniel Behrens, Catherine Behrens Vincent, Christopher Wrike, Kathryn Wrike Preisser, Sarah Wrike, Cynthea Wrike Jaskolka, and Joanna Haughey Allen. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Grace Church Cathedral on Wentworth Street in Charleston. I always read the obituaries in the Post & Courier. Mr. Horan's write-up caught my attention on his birth date. I was also born on May 30th, but in 1955. Condolences.
